Guy Meir with students in guitar concert
Private guitar lessons
Private lessons of Solfége, Harmony and tuning your listening skills The main goal of these classes that develop the student’s listening skills is to improve listening abilities and to bring the student ultimately to the situation that he can pick up as many musical elements as possible in as little listening sessions. Development of listening skills contributes to an in-depth understanding of the musical pieces the students play. One example of extraordinary listening skills can be found in the story of Mozart, the child, who after hearing a performance of a religious piece which was hidden by the Pope managed to transcribe its notes perfectly. The very next day, those notes were taken by Mozart’s father and shown to the Pope, who in response bestowed Mozart an honorary reward instead of punishing him for the “robbery” of the forbidden notes.
